Co. Westmeath - Mullingar

Mullingar Co Westmeath now has a knitting group! Craft Tea are now meeting every Wednesday in the Annebrook House Hotel, Mullingar from 7.30 to 9.30pm. We welcome anyone who knits, crochets, sew or does any other fibre craft.

Glasnevin Knitting

Wednesdays, 6:00 - 8:00pm at the Botanic House, Hart’s Corner, Glasnevin

Hart’s Corner is accessible from: town by 40, 40 A/B/C/D, 13, 19, 19A, 83, 4 and 4A bus; Finglas area by 40, 40 A/B/C/D; and Ballymun area by 13, 19, 19A, 83, 4 and 4A. By train, it is a 10 mins walk from Drumcondra station.

Co. Antrim/Co. Down-Belfast

Welcome to the ‘Wait ‘Til I Finish My Row’ Belfast Stitch’n’Bitch group. We’re a small but enthusiastic group of crafters meeting up every week to chat, squish yarn, ooh and ah at each other’s projects and generally have a good time.

We meet on Wednesdays in StarBucks (CastleCourt) from around 4.30pm and we’re usually there until 7pm or later.

Everyone is welcome, if you knit/crochet/cross-stitch/sketch/paint/weave/spin/create come along! If it’s portable bring it with you and we’ll be happy to see you.

There’s a new knitting group starting up in Carrick-on-Shannon, called Knitaholics Anonymous, beginning the first of March, and every first Saturday of the month. They will meet in the Resident’s Room of The Bush Hotel between 12pm and 3pm.

The Macroom Knitting Group meets at the library on the main street which is in the Briary Gap building across from SuperValu. They meet from 1130am to 1230pm every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month.

Co. Waterford—Lismore

Knit ‘n’ Knatter meets on a bi-monthly basis in The Craft Mills, Main Street, Lismore, Co. Waterford. The group usually meet from 7.30-9.30pm on the first and third Monday of the month. For ease because of all the bank holidays it’s been changed to fortnightly with it rolling over if it’s a public holiday.

There is a nominal €2.50 charge to cover refreshment costs and if possible, participants are asked to bring a chair to ensure everyone is comfy!

Co. Kildare—Celbridge

Witty Knitters, a new knitting group, has started in Celbridge! Come along and join us, we sit and have a drink while we knit and chat. Beginners to advanced, it makes no odds. If you would like to learn to knit, pop in too, we can give you a hand or two. Not exclusive to knitters, if you crochet, don’t be shy, we’d love to learn!

NEW LOCATION! We are now meeting in the Mucky Duck, Main Street, Celbridge, 7.00pm the first and third Tuesday of the month.
There is parking behind the pub, entrance to this is directly to the right of the pub.
We will aim to be upstairs on one of the comfy couch’s there each time, but if not then look out for the pointy sticks, and yarn waving that will be going on.

Co. Down—Kilkeel

The Kingdom of Mourne Embroidery Guild is a stitching group that also have people that knit, although that is not the focus of the group. The group aims are to promote the skill of embroidery and promote local crafts, as well as bringing in tutors and workshops. Meetings are once a month on the first Wednesday of the month in the Spice Tree in Kilkeel.

Membership is open to all over the age of 18 (we will take younger at the decision of the commitee), and membership is £30 for the year. Non-members may attend for a total of three visits at a fee per night, but after that they must then make the choice to join or not.
