24 October 2009: Techniques of Hyperbolic Crochet
Margaret Wertheim of the Institute For Figuring in Los Angeles, will be doing a workshop in The Science Gallery on the techniques of hyperbolic crochet and talk about the project. The workshop is free, but booking is essential as places are limited.

Saturday 27 June: Knitting Workshop, Co. Kildare
From 10am to 5pm, The Mill in Johnstown, Naas, Co. Kildare, will be holding a full day knitting workshop in which you can learn how to dye Aran wool, use knitting dollies, roving yarns and various sizes of needles, as well as finger knitting and crochet. A materials pack of the natural fibres will be provided as part of the course fee and more materials to take home will be available for purchase from The Mill store.
Suitable for absolute beginners and refreshers.
Minimum participants: 6.
Course cost: E70.
