Saturday 27 June:   Knitting Workshop, Co. Kildare

From 10am to 5pm, The Mill in JohnstownNaas, Co. Kildare, will be holding a full day knitting workshop in which you can learn how to dye Aran wool, use knitting dollies, roving yarns and various sizes of needles, as well as finger knitting and crochet. A materials pack of the natural fibres will be provided as part of the course fee and more materials to take home will be available for purchase from The Mill store.

Suitable for absolute beginners and refreshers.
Minimum participants: 6.

Course cost: E70.

Patricia Roberts is coming to Dublin

 

 

 

re-dress, an ethical fashion initiative based in Dublin, will be bringing Patricia Roberts to Dublin for a talk / master class in Dublin at the end of April. re-dress would like to organise this event as a huge knitting circle with everyone bringing needles and wool while Patricia discusses her experiences and tips . The evening talk will have an admission fee of approximately €10.

A new knitting circle will be starting Sunday 22 February at the Dublin FLea Market. Knitters can join Laura and Friends at the Coop Newmarket, off Cork Street. It will begin at 11-5pm. Come in and chat, bring your knitting. For those who want to shop, there will handspun and hand dyed wool.

The knitting circle will meet at the market is every last Sunday of the month.
